designer and owner, Joe McNichols, in July 1985, started Makanda By

Hotel Makanda By the Sea is located on the main road between Quepos

Hotel Makanda By the Sea has 11 well-furnished and luxurious
villas. These eleven lavish villas are located along the downhill
mountain terrain offering a stunning view of the sixty-mile
coastline. All the villas are open air and are specially crafted to
enhance the cooling effect of refreshing Pacific breeze. Every
villa is air-conditioned and faces the ocean. Each villa has the
facility of room service, television, warm water, Internet and
telephone. Coffee Maker and the terrace mini bar make the villa
look more magnificent and comfortable. The villas are amidst lush
botanical gardens and outfitted with luxurious facilities and

Hotel Makanda By the Sea's Sunspot restaurant is a whole host of
finest seafood, meats, poultry and vegetables. The hotel's local

are on the grill and flavored with fresh herbs and spices from La
